For the Make-up lover or the person next to you slobbering over your most recent Ipsy  Subscription. 

 

Seriously, if you have not tried Ipsy at least once, you need to give it a try.

 

The reasons:

1. Makes a great gift for yourself or someone you know who wants to experiment with make-up but does not want to spend a lot each month (only $10 per month)

 

2. The teaser's (aka spoilers... aka sneak peeks) taunt the subscribers every month, creating an undying thirst for more... I love the rush I get from hoping to get one of the revealed items in my box.

 

3. THE COST!!!! If you are looking for a cheap gift for a woman, teen, step-mother, mother-in-law, tween, or even sister... then look no further! At only $10 a month you can gift this subscription and be sure they will love it!

 

If you are worried about not having anything under the tree, than order the first box early (December's if you can get in...there is a waiting list) and put it under the tree with a note letting them know their subscription length! Otherwise, use this as a stocking stuffer and take a picture of an IPSY bag (there are hundreds online) and gift the note with the details of the subscription!

 

If you can't get in until January, then start the NEW Year off right and SPLURGE!

As you can see, Ipsy gives you well beyond your $10 per month worth. I am highly pleased with this purchase, and can't wait to start exploring the different ways to wear my Ipsy colors. One thing I must say, is that Ipsy pays attention to details, unlike many other subscription services. I have a yellow and tan skin tone and the Ipsy staff pay much attention to what may flatter your skin tone. Fantastic service @Ipsy !

Ipsy November 2013 Subscription Box $10 per month

I subscribed for the Glam Bag, which is one of the three looks you can subscribe to through your Beauty Profile Quiz. The picture above is how the Ipsy Subscription Box arrives and the contents within the pink bubble wrap. The contents shipped well and I was impressed none of the contents were damaged.

Here is all the products I received... most of the time I do not pay attention to the many spoilers on the IPSY blog; however, with all the hype I couldn't resist. I always wanted to try some of the products hinted in the spoilers so I peeked (although it did ruin the surprise a bit).

Color: Topaz 

Color is a fantastic shade of silver and this is the best metallic pencil I ever used. The color is a mirrored match to the image and that is the same color you get on your skin (regardless of your skin tone).

The color is amazing, but a bit hard to smudge. It even includes the blender and sharpener.

Pixi Beauty Bronzer Full Size $18

Color: Summertime

This bronzer gives a luminous glow and is the first bronzer I have found that worked perfect with my skin tone to give great definition.

Color: Hot Damn

I love trying shades of red, so this glossy formula lip crayon will be exciting to try.

Dollar Shave Club Review

I posted the Reveal of the Dollar Shave Club Subscription Box earlier this week. In response to not being able to test the product myself, I allowed my husband to try the product and of course it took him forever to start to use it (procrastinator). 

If you missed my prior Dollar Shave Club Subscription Box, the picture above is what you get based on the price plan you select. My husband selected the $1 membership with $2 shipping package. This is what you get... pretty simple.  Handle and 5 cartridges. It even includes a reminder card for your Hubby, Boyfriend, or Dad to replace their blades at least once a week. 

The Concept is great, but it turns out the craftsmanship on the razor handle we received was poorly made and could not hold the blades.

End result, my husband was upset and instead of upgrading to a premium razor, cancelled the subscription (typical male response). He did say , "the Blade was made quite well, however, it is useless without a good handle to hold the razor". I suppose we were one of the unlucky one's this can happen to in the search for the perfect subscription box.  Dollar Shave Club does not allow refunds or exchanges.

Sweet Something Collection From Total Beauty

Just received the Sweet Something Collection From Total Beauty, which took only two days to arrive. There was a separate package for the  Trojan Vibrations Interchange (I won't show the picture again, but you can see it in my original Sweet Somethings Collection post). It was so big it came in a separate box.

The reason that I chose to review the product; although, I already saw the reveal from the website is because the items colors and size can be hard to determine from the websites descriptions.

Since the Value is over $130, and I purchased this for $27 (no shipping) I think this was a great Collection.

Bonus: I needed to re-up my Rapid Lash Supply.

I already use Rapid Lash and love it, so for the cost of $27 I am getting a new vial of Rapid Lash for under the cost at stores (cheapest place out there is Walmart but it still cost around $39) and lots and lots of Bonuses.

So keep in mind when searching for Boxes that send you Deluxe of full size products... It is cheaper to buy from these Collections/Sample Boxes than the store that sells them and you get awesome bonuses!
