BeautyBox5

Cost: $12 per Month

What is BeautyBox5?

BeautyBox5  is a subscription-based, beauty sampling program that delivers 5 cosmetic samples  every month. Typically in these boxes, everyone will receive the same products with little to no variation. You’ll receive a mixture of luxury, commonly known brands, niche brands, eco-conscious and even vegan brands.

Here is my March 2014 BeautyBox5 subscription box!

Although I saw and posted a few sneak peeks, I could not wait to tear this box open and see for myself!

BeautyBox5 theme for March 2014 the theme is “Spring Cleaning”, which I think they took literal by giving us a cleansing pad and soap!

The first thing you will always see when opening any subscription box is a postcard detailing the contents in the box, establishing why they selected these items for you, and the retail price (just in case you were interested in buying the full-size products).

Bellapierre Cosmetics Makeup Base (0.25 oz) $18

The full-sized mineral product was 0.29 oz, so in this case I will say this is full-sized! The make-up base is water proof and can double as a concealer. I currently use my candlelight Too Faced primer, but I will give this a go!

Tree Hut Shea Body Butter in Coconut Lime (2 oz) $2.50

I can never have enough Shea Butter and the size of the container is fantastic! The coconut and lime blend always remind me of summer!

H20 Plus Hand & Nail Cream (1 oz) $2.50

I have used H2o Plus products before and liked them, but I’m not to thrilled with the overpowering scent of this hand cream. I do like that it is made with Shea butter and palm oil though!

Jane’s Pick All Natural Soap (Travel Size in Patience – black spruce, fir needle & rosewood) $2

At first the scent of this soap was extremely overpowering, but after the earthy scent of rosemary takes over. I currently use Mrs. Meyer’s Basil Hand soap, so this was a refreshing change!

Swissco Dual-Sided Facial Pad $2

Automatically I was opposed to using this facial pad for my face and decided it wouldn’t be better than my clarisonic! However, I figured it would make a great exfoliater for when I am in the bath!

With over $27 worth of products and only paying around $8 with my purchase of the 1 year membership this is a deal! My favorite items would have to be the Bellapierre Make-up base and the Tree Hut Shea Butter!
