Here is my Review of my order. I selected 2 different Plated meals from  the December 23rd Selections:

Pan-Roasted Chicken with Butternut Squash Panzanella & Oven-Roasted Steak with Balsamic Onions and Swiss Chard

Every Plated order arrives just when they say it will and this huge box (pictured above) is like a huge chest, insulated with foam and ice packs! Included are recipe cards that rest inside the box.

Oven-Roasted Steak with Balsamic Onions and Swiss Chard

The ingredients for each of my meals are separated and ready for cooking. Prep is a cinch, which most of the time I am always tired before I even cook after the scavenger hunt of finding the right ingredients and prepping everything.

I enjoy how each item is perfectly measured and freshly delivered. The meals are never over-complicated.  I am a simple eater and in a weird way adventurous, so it did not surprise me at all that I have not heard or tried some of these ingredients before.

Oven-Roasted Steak with Balsamic Onions and Swiss Chard

The step-by-step recipe card is fantastic! I not only can visualize what the heck I  am suppose to do, but I am able to carefully read every detail without straining my eyes!

The First of the two meals I received was the Oven-Roasted Steak with Balsamic Onions and Swiss Chard. The Oven-Roasted Steak with Balsamic Onions and Swiss Chard turned out simply superb!!!! This was the first time I ever had pine nuts and Swiss Chard and I must say it was truly a perfect combination with the drizzle of lemon juice! My husband cleaned his plate and he is not one for vegetables or should I say trying new foods!

Pan-Roasted Chicken with Butternut Squash Panzanella

For those of you that are foodie virgins panzanella  is a Tuscan little salad dish, which is a combination  soaked crusty bread and onions and basil, dressed with olive oil and vinegar (traditionally is made with tomatoes).

As you can see they separate each recipe and each of the recipes ingredients. I have never had panzanella myself but have had my ventures of stalking the food network channel for recipes; however, I was super excited to get a hold of this recipe.

The finished plate was amazing!! I had a little trouble cutting up my parsley, but all in all the plate turned out fantastic!

The one reason I love these food subscription boxes is because of how I can easily create a new and fresh meal flawlessly every week or at least once a month (meals took under 30 minutes each)!

It is amazing the items my husband and kids are trying with these boxes. My husband especially has seen that he is not as picky when hearing the name of an ingredient is in the food, because most of the time he smells it and it smells fantastic! He is the pickiest eater, and I have found that this experience has allowed us to try many items that I would never have bought before, mainly due to his taste for food being so particular and plain!

If you are considering trying Plated than here are some reason’s why you should:

1. New meals come out every week – If you don’t like one week, skip it and enjoy the next one.

2. You are able to try completely remarkable foods!

3. Every thing you receive is fresh and delicious

4. If you waste money on food, well guess what, this is perfect because you only receive what you need for the meals!

5. Want to try new and flavorful foods? This is perfect for you… I have tried so many ingredients that I am addicted to the taste of new food (is that even possible?)

6. Have a picky husband or spouse? Surprise them with a meal and don’t tell them what is in it till afterwards! I bet they will eat it and start eating healthier, because of you forcing them to try new foods (secretly)!

The menu is updated weekly and I love how they have ton’s of recipes each week!!! They even send me updated recipe cards every week in my email, which I love strictly for the convenience factor! You can skip multiple weeks, but it would be wise to at least order twice a month if you pay the membership fee; otherwise, you are loosing out.

Did you order your Plated box? Let me know how you like it!
