What in the world is Barkbox?

The new subscription box that is making waves is this… a Box for Dogs?

When you sign up for BarkBox, every month you will receive a box in the mail with four or more carefully selected products and presents for your dog – anything from toys, bones and all-natural treats to hygiene products and innovative new gadgets! A portion of proceeds from each box will go to help doggies-in-need.

I decided this year instead of  a puppy Christmas Stocking full of generic Pet Smart toys, I wanted to do something different. So I purchased my First Barkbox  last month, which I received it last week!

Here is my December Barkbox  review!

Your Barkbox   arrives in a plain brown box, but inside the box is tissue paper printed with hilariously funny dog related words. Barkbox  has some great marketing, if you are not following them on twitter (@barkbox) you are missing out on their campaigns and hilarious puppy photo’s!

Barkbox customizes your dog’s box based on your dog’s size, all items in this box are for my 14+ pound Miniature Pincher Naps (named that because he always naps and has a Napoleon complex).

Your Subscription box will include a detailed card labeling the items included.

I think Naps hit the treat jackpot on this pet subscription box!

Barkworthies Chew $3

N-Bone Pearl Whites Dog Treat – Chewy.com $6.99

One thing I have to say is that my little boy Naps is not picky, so it is hard to tell what he likes and just consumes. However, I let him have a taste off, which for him was a pre-Christmas treat before I wrapped it up and placed it under the tree.

Gourmet Meat Rolls - Happy Howie’s All-Natural Dog Treats $4.15

These little sausages looked so tasty I wanted to take a bite!

TRUFFLE MAC & CHEESE | Bocces Bakery $9.50

I think Naps just hit the mother-load with this one! Truffle mac and cheese with a hint of bacon!!!! What??? Amazing! These will be gone in .05 seconds if it was up to Naps, but it’s not and under the tree we go!

The final item, Mr. Zucchini toy???

P.L.A.Y. Garden Fresh Zucchini Dog Toy  $9.00

The cruel joke is that this resembles a healthy food, but since my pup has had zucchini before an loved it, the joke was not as amusing as it should have been (my pup will eat anything). However, my son found it funny to keep saying “You gave the dog a ZUUUUUUcchiniiiiiiiii” in a questionable voice. This  soft food inspired plush dog toy is made from luxurious fabrics and has eco-friendly filler, which is great because it was gone in 2 minutes (shredded and laid to rest by NAPS aka.. shredder).

He only looks to be sweet and charming, because he is waiting for me to open his treats.

OMG, is that a Zucchini toy! Oh yeah, he see’s it!

Num, Num, Num I love Zucchini! I just want to hug you!

Naps say’s “Thanks Barkbox, but you are never getting this back”!

All in all, the Barkbox subscription was a hit and now thanks for Barkbox every time I receive a package my dog automatically assumes it is for him!

Have you ordered your Barkbox yet? How did you like it?
